Kati was our first adopted child. She came to us at 4 months old. She was born with spina Bifida and mild MR she was so tiny and so frail. She has grew up to be a wonderful daughter and a great woman. She has over come so many obstacles in her life. I never looked at Kati as having a disability when she was little. She never let her disability get in her way. She always tried to do what all the other kids did. She was the one that I learned about the special ed system at school and how to advocate for your children. I learned about unending doctor appointments and multiple diagnosis.
Kati loves horses and reading. She collects pens and diaries and boyfriends. Kati is 26 now and still looks 13. She is still a joy and I am blessed to be her Mom.
